Suffern Salon Joins Rockland Solid Waste Authority in 1st Environmental Day
SUFFERN, NY, April 26, 2010: Suffern full service beauty salon, Mystic Images, will be a featured vendor at the Rockland Solid Waste Management Authority’s 2010 Environmental Day on May 2nd. On a day filled with earth-friendly education, one lucky family will win a “Green Your Routine” personal care transformation. Mystic Images will award the winners with know-how and products that offer beauty without compromise. Total retail value of the “Green Your Routine” contest will be over $350. It is possible to transform an everyday part of life for women, men and children without sacrificing quality.
Salon products have evolved to meet the needs of environmental preservation. The daily regime of shampooing, conditioning, and hair styling is now as “green” as the products’ packaging. Gina Bertolino, Mystic Images owner, is a converted skeptic. “When the industry leaders first started to tout “green” beauty, there was more sizzle than substance. And if a product was truly “green”, it offered sub-standard results. I could not endorse for my clients to make the switch.” Today, consumers can find top brands with a conscience. Nail polish, children’s shampoos, and even hair color are “green”.
Mystic Images, along with Emiliani beauty supply, will display their full line of “green” retail and salon care products. Names likeBiolage Delicate Care, Sexy Hair Organics, and abba Hair Care will be featured and awarded to winners. Included for the first time with Loreal Serie Nature will be the much-publicized L’Oreal Professional hair coloring line – – – Inoa. Salon staff will be on hand to educate and demonstrate the products.
Along with the “Green Your Routine” contest, Mystic Images will offer families free hair painting with “green” Manic Panic hair gel. Children will receive complimentary green “green” Opi nail painting. The “Green Your Routine” winning family will be announced during the last hour of The Rockland Solid Waste Management Authority’s 2010 Environmental Day.
